About the Artist

From 2017 - 2022 Ana lived and worked in Mexico as an interior consultant, opening unique workspaces, hotels, restaurants and coffee houses throughout southern Mexico. While there she continued working with local communites and artists to bring art to the community by engaging with schools, churches and businesses to create murals and other community art events.

Now based in the vibrant city of Phoenix, Arizona, Ana's most recent paintings portray her lived experiences in Mexico, reflecting the landscapes, the warmth of its people, the echoes of ancient legends, and the profound humanity that defines Mexican culture.

Welcome to the virtual gallery of Ana Sylvia Santiago.

Ana grew up in New York and attended the University of Arizona. After graduating, she returned to New York City and showcased her works in some of the city's most iconic art haunts , including the Knitting Factory, The Art Bar, Maloney & Porcelli's and The Art Student's League.

Ana served as an  educator and Art Department chair at Paul Robeson High School in Brooklyn from 2000-2017, her commitment to nurturing artistic expression and creativity in education has profoundly influenced her artistic journey.
